Womersley Centenary Book Release

Peter Womersley was born on June 24, 1923.

In part in commemoration of the centenary of his birth, Neil Jackson, RIBA FSA, Professor Emeritus of Architecture at the University of Liverpool and Past-President of the Society of Architectural Historians, is publishing a book on the life and architecture of Womersley.

As part of the series Twentieth Century Architects, and in association with the Twentieth Century Society and Historic England, the book will be published in May. Events surrounding the launch are as follows for those interested:

Thursday May 4
Live and online seminar for Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain

Wednesday May 24
Professor Jackson will join Huddersfield Modernist for a lecture on Womersley, with copies of the book available. More details are available on Instagram here.

Wednesday May 31
Book launch hosted by RIAS in Edinburgh as part of their Bookshop - Lates series.

Monday June 5
Tour of Womersley's Scottish Borders buildings hosted by 20th Century Society (limited to 20 participants - not yet posted).
